Casa Tabito - Guatemala
Casa Tabito exists right in the middle of that reality—working to end malnutrition and reduce infant mortality through medical care, nutrition, and community education. But beyond programs and resources, it’s about showing up consistently with care, dignity, and the love of Jesus.
Mission Focus:
This is hands-on, tangible ministry.
Alongside local staff, teams help deliver over 20,000 pounds of food—corn, rice, beans, and essential supplies—directly to families in need. These aren’t just drop-offs. They’re moments of connection, care, and a reminder: you are not forgotten.
The work is real. It’s physical. It’s not easy.
You’ll carry heavy loads, walk long distances on uneven ground, and serve in the heat. But in the middle of that effort, you’ll step into something bigger— as a team you'll be meeting immediate needs while supporting long-term impact already being led by the local community.
And through it all, the local ministry team remains the face of the work—serving their own people with strength, humility, and leadership—while God receives the glory.
If you’re ready to step into something real—something that costs you physically but changes you spiritually—this is it.
Be part of bringing hope, love, dignity, and provision to families who need it most.
Trip Schedule:
There will be an orientation on the first day the team arrives. While every day can look different, you can expect on-site training. Flexibility is best and most important skill & characteristic we will bring to this serving opportunity. In the evenings the team will debrief together and share stories from their day.
Team Meetings:
The goal is to send teams that are a blessing to our partners, which means sending a team that is fully prepared when they reach their destination. To ensure the team is ready, there are a minimum of 3 Team Meetings. Meetings are designed to help each participant grow as a disciple of Jesus, be prepared for time on the field, get to know your teammates, understand culture & the ministry, and understand your role in fulfilling the Great Commission even after the trip is over.
Partnership Development / Support Raising:
All trip participants are encouraged (not required) to raise support for their trip. It is an opportunity to see how God provides, share with others about the ministry, and talk about how God is moving you to serve cross-culturally. The first team meeting will have support-raising training. Support-raising resources will also be available to help walk you through the process.
Logistics:
The team will fly together to Guatemala City and then be driven by van to the guesthouse. The team will stay in assigned rooms with roommates and a bathroom. Meals will be provided by the guesthouse kitchen. You can expect a lot of walking.
Financial Information:
- The cost of the trip includes airline tickets, in-country transportation, trip insurance, supplies, lodging, and meals for the duration of the trip. The only thing it doesn't include is souvenirs.
- IRS Guidelines - For contributions to be tax deductible, the church must have ultimate control/discretion as to how the money is spent. This means that any financial gift received for a trip is non-refundable.
- Any trip participant who has to drop out of the trip for any reason is required to cover all trip expenses incurred by the church on their behalf.
