Tanzania sits along the east coast of Africa—a place of incredible beauty and deep need. It’s home to Mount Kilimanjaro, the vast Serengeti plains, and over 70 million people across 150+ people groups. Yet many have little to no access to the gospel—no Bible, no church, and no one to share the hope of Jesus.

The Kids’ Home: From Survival to Purpose

These children’s stories begin in places most of us can’t imagine—abandoned, abused, trafficked, or fighting just to survive. The reality is heavy, but the hope is real. Because of the Kazima Kids’ Home, these children now have a safe place to live, food to eat, medical care, and the truth of the Gospel spoken into their lives every single day.

Instead of being rejected or overlooked, they’re being raised with dignity, love, and purpose. With access to a new school and consistent care, they now have a future—one where they can grow, learn, and step into who God created them to be.

We have the opportunity to step into their story. A small team (6–8 people) will host a kid’s camp—bringing joy, connection, and encouragement through games, crafts, and simply showing up. It’s a chance to remind these kids: you are seen, you matter, and you are not alone.  Additionally, the team will build into the teachers and care-givers with multiple trainings (English as a second language, Trauma informed care).

The Farm: Building a Sustainable Future

The farm is more than land—it’s a long-term investment in these kids and their future. It will help provide food for the children’s home, create sustainability, income for the school, and serve as a hands-on classroom where kids can learn skills that prepare them for life.

There’s real work ahead: restoring buildings, building fences, creating functional living and learning spaces, and developing systems for farming and food production. This farm won’t just support the children—it will impact the surrounding community by modeling a better way forward.

If you love to work hard and serve with your hands, we need a small team (6-8 people) with maintenance, construction or handyman skills. Whether it’s construction, clearing land, building, or helping develop the farm systems, this trip offers a chance to make a tangible, lasting impact.

Your Invitation

If you’ve been looking for a way to live out your faith in a real, meaningful way—this is it.  Come serve, love, build, invest, learn. Come be part of what God is doing in Tanzania.

Trip Schedule:

There will be an orientation on the first day the team arrives. While every day can look different, you can expect to be assigned a role at the start (on-site training provided).  Flexibility is best and most important skill & characteristic we will bring to this serving opportunity.  In the evenings the team will debrief together and share stories from their day.

Team Meetings:

The goal is to send teams that are a blessing to our partners, which means sending a team that is fully prepared when they reach their destination. To ensure the team is ready, there are a minimum of 3 Team Meetings. Meetings are designed to help each participant grow as a disciple of Jesus, be prepared for time on the field, get to know your teammates, understand culture & the ministry, and understand your role in fulfilling the Great Commission even after the trip is over.

Partnership Development / Support Raising:

All trip participants are encouraged to raise support for their trip (not required). It is an opportunity to see how God provides, share with others about the ministry, and talk about how God is moving you to serve cross-culturally. The first team meeting will have support-raising training.  Support-raising resources will also be available to help walk you through the process.

Logistics:

The team will fly together to Tanzania and then travel to the Tabora region. Housing is TBD.  Meals will be provided by the local staff.  You can expect to walk a lot each day.

Financial Information:

  • The cost of the trip includes airline tickets, in-country transportation, trip insurance, supplies, lodging, and meals for the duration of the trip. The only thing it doesn't include is souvenirs.
  • IRS Guidelines - For contributions to be tax deductible, the church must have ultimate control/discretion as to how the money is spent. This means that any financial gift received for a trip is non-refundable.
  • Any trip participant who has to drop out of the trip for any reason is required to cover all trip expenses incurred by the church on their behalf.
